An announced inspection of Albany Regional Prison was conducted between 7 and 12 February 2021.

The inspection report is expected to be tabled in January 2022.

An announced inspection of Wooroloo Prison Farm was conducted between 28 March and 1 April 2021.

The inspection report is expected to be tabled in December 2021.

An announced inspection of  Court Custody Centre’s and the Fiona Stanley Hospital Secure Facility was conducted between November 2020 and March 2021.

A draft of the report is being prepared.

The inspection report is expected to be tabled in February 2022.

An announced inspection of Boronia Pre-Release Centre was conducted between 23 and 27 May 2021.

The inspection report is expected to be tabled in February 2022.

An announced inspection of Hakea Prison was conducted between 21 July and 30 July 2021.

A draft of the report is being prepared.

The inspection report is expected to be tabled in March 2022.

 

An announced inspection of Greenough Regional Prison was conducted between 19 September and 24 September 2021.

A draft of the report is being prepared.

The inspection report is expected to be tabled in March 2022.

An announced inspection of Acacia Prison is scheduled to take place between 10 to 19 November 2021.

The broad inspection themes will include all areas of prison operations and services, with a focus on:

  • Contract management and monitoring
  • Innovation as a private contractor working in a public sphere
  • Aboriginal services
  • Service delivery – health, employment, education
  • Constructive activity

The inspection report is expected to be tabled in April 2022.

An announced inspection for Roebourne Regional Prison is scheduled to take place between 13 to 18 March 2022.

The broad inspection themes will include all areas of prison operations and services, with a focus on:

  • Ability to consistently staff operations, industries, and services such as health and education
  • Preparations for and management of impacts for COVID-19
  • Climate control in living quarters
  • Care and management of women, including access to health care, recreation, education, training, s.95 and programs
  • Culturally appropriate provisions for rehabilitation and release preparations

The inspection report is expected to be tabled in July 2022.
