This report details the findings of our inspection of Bandyup Women’s Prison. This inspection was conducted in September 2023.

Our 7th inspection of Bandyup Women’s Prison in May/June 2020 took place at a time that WA was starting to emerge from Phase 3 COVID-19 restrictions.  

This report details the findings of our sixth round inspection of Bandyup Women’s Prison.  The inspection took place in May 2017.

This report follows the fifth inspection of Bandyup Women’s Prison. Years of inaction and a lack of investment have taken a toll on Bandyup, leading the Inspector to describe it as ‘the hardest and most neglected prison in the state’.
